Community Suicide Prevention

The stressors and challenges of living in this world can be overwhelming, particularly for people in marginalized communities and among the people who care for those communities. Gender diverse people, neurodivergent people, medical professionals, students, and nonprofit workers are all at elevated risk for suicide. I am certified to teach QPR, a three-step method for anyone to help support and protect people in their communities from suicide.

I offer these trainings regularly for the general public at 30$/person. Successful completion of the workshop results in QPR certification and increased confidence supporting people considering suicide. In addition, these paid trainings allow me to offer free trainings to vulnerable community groups.

If you are interested in signing up for a general QPR training, please click the button below.

If your organization or community is interested in a more tailored QPR training, please reach out through the Contact form.

Trainings on Gender Affirming Care

While gender diverse people need the same mental and medical health care as any other group of people, many providers are not knowledgeable about culturally-competent care for these communities. I am able to combine lived experience, clinical knowledge, a strong academic medical background, and teaching experience to offer tailored trainings for providers and companies who work with transgender and gender diverse clients.

I am happy to tailor these presentations and trainings for your organization’s needs. Previously, I have provided trainings related to: culturally competent and respectful medical care, navigating political stress and trauma as a mental health practitioner, and gender-affirming medical treatment.

If your organization or community is interested in a specific training related to transgender and gender diverse people, please reach out through the Contact form. I am happy to discuss how my expertise might fit with your needs.

“One-shot” TTRPG Workshops

I am passionate about the use of TTRPGs (like Dungeons and Dragons) for therapeutic growth and work. They are also a lot of fun!

These “one-shots,”or one session, TTRPG games provide an opportunity to explore if this group modality might be right for you. While my full-length TTRPG groups are often covered by insurance, these one-session groups are not. I offer these trainings regularly at 45$/person, you can click the button below to sign-up!

If you are seriously considering joining a full-length group, and this cost is prohibitive, please reach out and we can discuss sliding scale options. In addition, if your organization or community is interested in using TTRPGs as a team-building exercise, please reach out through the Contact form.
